Ocean Lodge Review

Designed to capture the feel of a 1940s beach resort, this lodge is perfect for special occasions and romantic getaways. Most rooms have oceanfront views, and all have open wood beams, gas fireplaces, and balconies or decks. A massive stone fireplace anchors the lobby, and there is another fireplace in the second-floor library, which also contains a large selection of games for the whole family, an extensive book collection, and a DVD library. Bungalows across the street do not have ocean views but are large and private.

    Ocean Lodge Review

Had a what was called the "second best room" by several staff. Ocean Front top floor, corner. However, the Ocean Lodge rooms need desperately to be redecorated. I felt like it was 1995.
Laminated counters, floral wall paper, a dark little shower. The microwave and refrigerator and kitchen area were right out in the room without being enclosed in an armoire. Not very romantic. A dried flower wreath with much dust and hardly any flowers intact hung over the bed.
It just really needed a redo. Also, the balcony was nice but absolutely no privacy. Visual seperation from balcony next door would have been appreciated.
Continental breakfast was OK but not as good as many lower priced chains.
