McLoughlin House National Historic Site Review
An officer for a fur-trading company, Dr. John McLoughlin lost his job when he forwarded supplies to needy Oregon Trail pioneers, but his presence and deeds in the area are remembered at the mansion he moved to with his family in 1846. Guided tours begin and the Barclay house next door and take approximately 45 minutes.
