Scott Paul Tasting Room and Winery

Scott Paul Tasting Room and Winery Review

Pinot noir fans, listen up: this small spot in the center of Carlton not only makes Pinot Noir from local grapes, but it also imports and sells Pinot Noirs from Burgundy. The three Pinot Noirs made from local grapes are Audrey, the finest wine of the vintage; La Paulée, a selection of the best lots of each vintage; and Cuvée Martha Pirrie, a fruit-forward, silky wine meant to be drunk young. All are splendid examples of the wines that can be made from this great, challenging grape. The tasting room, a quaint redbrick building, is across the street from the winery. Winery tours are by appointment only. Wine seminars are offered in the evenings, and private guided tastings are available by appointment.
