Charleston Sights

Old Village Review

The historic nucleus of Mount Pleasant, this neighborhood is distinguished by white picket fences, storybook cottages, antebellum manses, tiny churches, and waterfront homes. Prices run to the millions. It's a lovely area for a stroll or bike ride, and Pitt Street offers a couple locally loved eateries and boutiques. Follow that street south until it ends in the Pickett Street Recreation Area (which residents call the Pitt Street Bridge), an old bridge-turned-greenway that's popular for picnicking, fishing, and enjoying sunset views.
