Dixie Supply Bakery and Cafe Review

It might be a lil' eatery buttressed by a Lil' Cricket convenience store, but don't be fooled by its size. Dixie Supply Bakery and Cafe belongs to an old Charlestonian family (and by old, we mean they arrived here in 1698 or so) that seeks to honor its roots through food. It's here you'll find Lowcountry and Southern classics: shrimp and creamy stone-ground grits, fried chicken, and a mighty fine tomato pie. Daily alternating blue-plate specials abound, including fried green tomatoes, shrimp from nearby Wadmalaw Island, summer-squash-and-ricotta-cheese ravioli, and a steady assortment of locally plucked vegetables.

    Good food, poor people skills

    I decided to have lunch here because Guy Fieri (misspelled probably) ate here and it was supporsed to be good. The food was adequate but the service was poor. The blonde at the counter was NOT friendly at all. The food was overpriced and definitely not what I expected. Also, the decor looked rundown and I didn't see a bathroom at all! Definitely would not go back! Hymen's on the other hand was FANTASTIC!
