Trattoria Lucca

Trattoria Lucca Review

The naysayers scoffed when chef Ken Vedrinski opened Trattoria Lucca back in 2008. Not because of Vedrinski; the well-heeled chef manned the kitchen of the bygone Sienna restaurant on Daniel Island. Rather, the whispers were from Lucca's unlikely location, deep on the peninsula in a neighborhood in need of TLC. And now, well, now they flock, visiting Lucca for his warm cauliflower sformatino (with soft organic egg, pancetta, and parmigiano cheese), organic Mezze Maniche and Chitarra pastas, and, on Sunday evening, family-style suppers with communal seating.
