Hilton Head and the Low Country Restaurants

Hinoki Review

A peaceful oasis awaits you at Hinoki, which has repeatedly been voted best sushi on Hilton Head Island. As you make your way into the restaurant, fishponds and Japanese flora flank the boardwalk. The interior has an intimate feel, and includes a bar, regular seating, a sushi bar, and a few sunken tables, with bamboo touches throughout. Try the Hilton Head roll, which is white fish tempura and avocado, or the Hinoki roll of asparagus and spicy masago (Capelin roe), topped with tuna and avocado. The sushi chef will also make specialty rolls as requested. One of the specialties of the house is a to-die-for tuna sashimi salad with spicy mayo, cucumbers, onions, salmon roe, and crabmeat. There are more than 50 sushi and sashimi choices, along with udon noodle dishes and bento boxes. There's also an extensive sake menu.
