Greenville

Getting Here and Around

Greenville is a little over two hours northwest of Columbia. While Columbia sits in a valley of sorts, the Greenville area is more mountainous. There is plenty of hiking and numerous waterfalls just outside town. The revitalized Main Street area is a great base camp for your stay. The street is a long tree-lined stretch of shops, restaurants, and hotels. To the south, the road runs through Falls Park and passes the Greenville Drive Stadium. The northern end runs close to the Heritage Green neighborhood, which is a block of museums, theaters, and a library. Be prepared when driving around the outskirts of Greenville—the Interstate 185, a connector loop of Interstate 85 and Interstate 385, is a toll road, so have your dollars ready.
