Great Smoky Mtns. National Park Sights

Dan Lawson Cabin Review

From many points along the 11-mi, one-way Cades Cove Loop Road, you'll enjoy iconic views of the broad Cades Cove valley. The Park Service keeps hayfields and pastures cleared, so you can see how the valley may have looked in the late 19th century when it was farmed by more than 100 families. Typical is the view across the valley from the front porch of the Dan Lawson cabin, the original portion of which was built in 1856.
