The designers of this impressive, larger-than-life establishment (the second branch of a nascent chain that began in San Francisco in 2006) have spared no expense to re-create a 1954 lavish, romantic-yet-masculine supper-club, complete with polished floors, plush leather booths, wide marble bar, black-and-white decor with splashes of red, and photos of Joe and Marilyn everywhere (never mind that their marriage only lasted nine months). Fritto misto, pepper-crusted beef carpaccio, and wood-fired mussels appeal as appetizers. Pastas and pizzas -- the Pizza Uovo, for example, topped with sopressata sausage and a runny egg (slightly undercooked but otherwise tasty) -- get mixed reviews from diners. Steaks are the main event, from an 8 oz. filet mignon to a 24 oz. porterhouse. The house has a good selection of cocktails and sizable appetizers, $5 apiece, at a daily happy hour (3-6 PM).
