Hilton Garden Inn Austin NW/Arboretum

Fodor's Review:

Business travelers and some short-term leisure travelers patronize this five-story hotel in suburban, shopaholic Northwest Austin. Room renovations were completed in early 2008. Set back from the busy highway, the hotel is quiet, and parking is ample. A ground-floor business center provides free Internet and local faxes. There's an indoor pool. Rooms, with contemporary decor, have a mini-refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, flat-panel TV, and a bed or beds with Sleep Number mattresses. Large, filling breakfasts (but no other meals) are served in the sunwashed front lobby and adjacent outdoor patio. Rudy's barbecue joint, a good local chain, is on the opposite side of US 183. Pros: Relatively new (2002), well maintained, attentive staff, business center. Cons: Few good restaurants in immediate vicinity, far from downtown, not scenic.

  • Hotel Details: 138 rooms, including 8 deluxe.
  • In-room: refrigerator, Wi-Fi.
  • In-hotel: restaurant, pool, gym, laundry facilities, no-smoking rooms.
  • Credit Cards: AE, D, DC, MC, V
