Just a few miles northeast of downtown, Silo has beautiful views of the city from its sleek first-floor bar and second-floor restaurant. The dining room is modern and modestly glamorous, but not at all pretentious, bringing some of the fun up from the popular bar downstairs. Start out with the chicken-fried oysters or blue-crab spring rolls and move onto the grilled and braised Kurobuta pork shank or seared sea scallops. If you catch a table before 6:30 pm Sunday through Thursday, opt for the prix-fixe three-course dinner: it puts a whole new spin on the typical "early bird" special by allowing you to put together many of the restaurant's specialties for under $30.
