Noble Inns Review

This gorgeous B&B sits on 1½ acres that back up to a quiet section of the river running through the King William Historic District. From the first steps up the wide staircase to the first-floor veranda, the house captures your imagination about what antebellum life must have been like in South Texas. Each room is individually decorated; yours might have a four-poster carved-wood bed, toile upholstery, and Oriental rugs. Modern conveniences include flat-panel TVs, Wi-Fi, and electric fireplaces (some rooms). One room has a shower only—no tub. The Alhambra Room has less natural light than other rooms. Breakfast, with a menu that changes daily, is served in the dining room or on the veranda. The quiet garden and grounds offer many places to relax—perhaps on a seat in the gazebo or in one of the hammocks.
