La Veracruzana
La Veracruzana Review
New owners established La Veracruzana in summer 2010 on the site of Ben's Cafe (the marquee is still up) on Green River's main drag. The long tradition of good food in this older unassuming building continues. Couples and families should try the molcajete, a two-person entrée with meat, chicken, shrimp, and nopal(cactus) served on a volcanic-rock stone mortar. Savory pork and chile verde combinations also impress on a menu that offers enchiladas, tacos, and other standard Mexican fare.
