Carlton Hotel
At a Glance
- family-owned for 50 years, pleasant service
- made-to-order breakfast included
Pros
- rooms vary in size, and some are small. Hemmed in by high-rises and a parking garage, some rooms feel claustrophobic
Cons
Carlton Hotel Review
An absolute steal on the quiet side of downtown. The Carlton's brick facade would be at home in London, and this 80-year-old building has quirks and intricacies just like your British great aunt. Watch your step, for example, in all main-floor rooms, where the bathrooms are literally a step up from the rest of room. There's nothing lavish, no special amenities, but you can't beat this price so close to Temple Square.
