American Flatbread-Burlington Hearth
American Flatbread-Burlington Hearth Review
It might be worth going to college in Burlington just to be able to gather with friends at this wildly popular, charming and delicious organic pizza place. Seating is first-come, first-served and the scene is bustling with locals and visitors sipping on house-made brews. The wood-fired clay dome oven plus all-organic ingredients creates masterful results like the Punctuated Equilibrium, which has kalamata olives, roasted red peppers, local goat cheese, fresh rosemary, red onions, mozzarella, and garlic, or the "new Vermont sausage," topped with local nitrate-free maple-fennel sausage. Fresh salads topped with local goat or blue cheese are also a popular favorite. Here's to the college life! There are also locations in Middlebury and Waitsfield.
