Shenandoah National Park
Horseback Riding
Trail rides leave from the park's Skyland Stables several times daily from April through October, and on weekends in November. The route follows White Oak Canyon trail, which passes several waterfalls; you can choose a one-hour ride or a two-hour ride. It's recommended that you book at least 24 hours in advance. Rides are $30-$50. Skyland Lodge, Milepost 41.7, near Luray, Luray, VA, 22835. 540/999-2212. Apr.-Oct., daily 8-5; Nov., weekends 8-5.
