Richmond, Fredericksburg and the Northern Neck Sights

Siege Museum Review

The Siege Museum, inside a former commodities market from 1839, tells the story of how the city's lavish lifestyle gave way to a bitter struggle for survival during the Civil War: a single chicken could cost as much as $50 in Confederate currency. A 16-minute movie narrated by Petersburg-born actor Joseph Cotten dramatizes the upheaval.
