Heritage Park Resort & Belle Mount Vineyards Review

On Menokin Bay, this campground has panoramic views overlooking the Rappahannock River and scenic wildlife settings. The rustic, wooden, two-bedroom cottages are heated and air-conditioned so they can be rented year-round. Each has a living room with navy plaid chairs and sofa, a dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen. With its banquet facilities for 300, the resort is a good place for picnics, receptions, and family reunions. There are also 78 campsites, some of which have full hookups or partial hookups. Tours and tastings at the winery on the premises are available Wednesday through Sunday from mid-March to mid-December. This is a part of the Northern Neck Wine Trail.

    Heritage Park Resort & Belle Mount Vineyards Review

    We were quite surprised by the state of this campground. It had fallen into disrepair and the staff was quite rude. I found it on the Internet and thought it looked nice. What we discovered is that this is really a winery with a campground as an afterthought. The road in was barely passable. There are no "panoramic views" (they are obscured by trees and weeds). There is no campstore. You had to walk through weeds to get to the showers. The picnic tables are in bad shape. The pool wasn't well maintained either. The baby pool was filthy and empty. The flies were bad at the pool. The boat ramp had fallen into he water. The best thing about this campground is that it's close to the water for fishing. We wouldn't stay here again. The campground is in bad shape and the staff's attitude toward campers makes it worse.
