Schnauzer Crossing Review

Meticulously maintained gardens surround this contemporary B&B in a peaceful residential neighborhood overlooking Lake Whatcom. The original 1920s house was extended in the 1970s; the modern living room has extremely high ceilings. The guest room has a lake view, while the large suite has a glass-enclosed atrium and fireplace. A cottage unit, whose cost may leave you expecting something more lavish, has a kitchen and a gas fireplace. Friendly owners Donna and Vermont McAllister serve such ample, unusual breakfast dishes as triple sec French toast.
