In this part of the state there are too few flights going to too few places. Of the region's many airports, only Pangborn Memorial in East Wenatchee and Bellingham International have commercial flights (on Horizon Air); the rest only serve charter planes. Thanks to this limited service—as well as to prohibitive fares—it's best to fly into Seattle and rent a car to head north.

Horizon Air has service to Bellingham International Airport and Wenatchee's Pangborn Memorial Airport. Kenmore Air can arrange charter floatplanes to Whidbey Island from Seattle. San Juan Airlines links the mainland towns with Friday Harbor, Lopez Village, and Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands. On-demand (and very expensive) service between Chelan and Stehekin is available by charter floatplane through Chelan Airways; the scenic flight takes about 45 minutes.
