Robertiello's Review
Pictures of Venice add a European touch to the intimate dining room of the McGrath Hotel, built in 1922. Tastes are true to Italy: try the meaty traditional lasagna, or penne sovietiche (pasta and prawns in a spicy mascarpone-cream-cheese sauce). For dessert there's homemade tiramisu and several types of cheesecake. The flower-bedecked patio is perfect for summertime meals. The bar in the firelit McGrath Room is backed by a fresco from the building's early years.
