You'll notice right away that almost everybody knows everybody else here. This is truly a neighborhood restaurant where locals meet over breakfast and lunch to shoot the breeze or nurse hangovers. No one ever seems in a hurry, which means waits for weekend brunch can be long. The food here is not just inexpensive, it's truly tasty and well prepared, making Pete's one of the best and most-reliable breakfast spots in the city. Obviously, huge omelets are the first order of business here, but the pancakes are excellent, too. The interior is nothing to speak of -- it looks like someone wedged a diner into a realtor's storefront.
