Boating & Diving Tours
Kayak tours generally run for two to three hours and cost $30 to $40; full-day excursions with lunch cost between $70 and $100. Boat tours and whale-watching tours usually last three to five hours and cost $30 to $60. Scuba-diving tours, including equipment, are in the $50 to $75 range for a two-tank dive.
Curley's Resort & Dive Center in Sekiu is a regional scuba shop. Also in Sekiu, Puffin Adventures organizes boating, kayaking, fishing, and scuba-diving trips in the region. Extreme Adventures runs two-hour and overnight float trips on the Hoh River. Olympic Adventures runs kayak trips on the Port Townsend waterfront and around the Strait of San Juan de Fuca. Olympic Raft & Kayak conducts white-water and scenic float trips on the Hoh and Elwha rivers. Sound Dive Center has scuba certification classes, dive equipment, and tours around the region.

Guided Historical Tours conducts two- to three-hour walking tours of Port Townsend for $10 to $20. Olympic Van Tours and Bus Lines, based in Port Angeles, offers guided day and multiday tours of Olympic National Park and shuttle service for backpackers to all national park trail heads. Van tours of Olympic National Park and the surrounding area range from half-day to full-day trips; costs range from $40 to $75. John Monk's Guide Service leads hiking and fishing tours around Washington's coastal rivers. Peak Six Tours, in Forks, provides gear and information for hiking, biking, camping, climbing, and sightseeing on the Olympic Peninsula. Guided hikes cost about $50 per day.
