Air Travel

Port of Friday Harbor is the main San Juan Islands airport, although there are also small airports on Lopez, Shaw, and Orcas islands. Seaplanes land on the waterfront at Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor on San Juan Island, Rosario Resort and West Sound on Orcas Island, and Fisherman Bay on Lopez Island. San Juan Islands flights are linked with mainland airports at Anacortes, Bellingham, Port Angeles, and Seattle-Tacoma International (Sea-Tac).

The small propeller jets and seaplanes of Island Air and San Juan Airlines hop among the San Juans. Kenmore Air has seaplane flights from Seattle to all the main islands. Northwest Seaplanes has seaplane service from Renton to San Juan, Orcas, and Lopez islands. Sound Flight also connects the islands with Renton. Rose Air takes passengers from Portland, Oregon, to the San Juans. All these airlines have charter and sightseeing flights.
