Yellows, greens, and soft light accent this industrial-feeling restaurant with big-city ambience. Oliver's has an open kitchen, paintings from local artists on the walls, and perennially high marks from its loyal clientele. The ever-changing and eclectic menu carries Western favorites like burgers, salads, and chicken dishes as well as osso buco, pan-roasted Alaskan halibut, gnocchi, shrimp, and pasta. Seasonal items include Copper River salmon from Alaska, available here in early summer for only three weeks. From the kitchen bar you can watch chefs prepare your meal, and there's a diverse and inviting wine list, too. Afterward, such fine desserts as crème brûlée and cheesecake with port or cognac offer decadent possibilities.
