This place is a tourist trap, but a good one. It's probably the most famous steak house in all of Argentina, and has become wildly popular with foreigners. Although you'll hear lots of English, German, and French spoken here, if you look around, it's also populated with lots of locals, at least the ones who can afford it. Las Lilas is best known for its beef that comes directly from its own estancia in the Pampas. The best cuts are the rib eye and bife de lomo. Salads and desserts are fantastic, too. Bottom line: if you're pressed for time, and can't leave Puerto Madero, this is your place for steak, even though you'll pay dearly for it. Otherwise, venture out to some better, and cheaper, places outside downtown.
