Buenos Aires Restaurants

Osaka Review

Osaka blends tradition with innovation, fusing Peruvian and Asian cuisines for lofty results, making it one of the most exciting restaurants in the city. However, it does attract a pretentious crowd: there are too many people trying too hard to look too cool, but the food all but makes up for it. The snug downstairs dining area has both a sushi bar and a cocktail bar, surrounded by tables of varying sizes. Upstairs, you can dine outside in a more relaxed patio setting. Ceviche is your best bet for starters, followed by rounds of fresh, delicious, and imaginative (by local standards, anyway) sushi. Don't miss spot-on interpretations of Peruvian recipes that were imported directly from the chain's Lima location, like the Misoudado, an amazing red-curry grouper.
