Chorillo del Salta (Trickling Falls)

Chorillo del Salta (Trickling Falls) Review

The Chorillo del Salta is a waterfall just 4 km (2.5 mi) north of town on the road to Lago del Desierto. The falls are no Iguazu, but the area is extremely pleasant and sheltered from the wind. A short hike uphill leads to secluded river pools and sun-splashed rocks where locals enjoy picnics on their days off. If you don't feel up to a more ambitious hike, the short stroll to the falls is an excellent way to spend the better part of an afternoon. Pack a bottle of wine and a sandwich and enjoy the solitude.
