A former state-owned hotel a short ride out of town is now one of the best reasons for spending time in San Salvador de Jujuy: The view from the swimming pool takes in most of the city and the mountains beyond, and the facilities span across five hectares, including a spa and a very good and reasonably priced restaurant.
