When to Go to Argentina
Just remember: when it's summer in the Northern Hemisphere, it's winter in Argentina.
Buenos Aires is least crowded in January and February, when locals beat the heat at resorts along the Atlantic and in Córdoba Province. City sightseeing is most pleasant during the temperate spring and fall. Try to visit Iguazú Falls in August through October, when temperatures are lower, the falls are fuller, and the spring coloring is at its brightest.
If you're heading to the Lake District or Patagonia, visit during the shoulder seasons of December and March. Southern seas batter the Patagonian coast year-round, and winds there often reach gale force. In Tierra del Fuego, fragments of glaciers cave into lakes with a rumble throughout the thaw from October to the end of April.
