Brasilia and the West Sights

Supremo Tribunal Federal Review

The Brazilian Supreme Court building is classic Niemeyer—an otherwise ponderous structure seems lighter than air because of the curving lines of the columns that support the roof. The top floor houses a 70,000-volume legal library. In front of the Supreme Court is one of the city's best-known monuments, the 10-foot granite statue The Justice, by Ceschiatti.
