Highlights of the Serra do Cipó National Park include the roaring Cachoeira da Farofa (a waterfall) and the sprawling Canyon das Bandeirantes. Numerous bird species as well as wolves, jaguars, anteaters, monkeys, and the poisonous sapo de pijama (pajama frog) make up the park's wildlife. Although it's difficult to reach and is lacking in infrastructure, the park has a beautiful landscape and ecological wealth that make it worth the trip. Facilities are poor, so consider visiting the area as part of an organized tour with Cipó Aventuras. The park can only be visited with a guide.
