Museu de Ciência e Técnica Review
Opposite the Museu da Inconfidência in the former governor's palace the Museum of Science and Technology contains an enormous collection of stunning precious and semiprecious gems (including diamonds), gold, and crystals. The museum has several sections including a section on the geology of the region, explanations of the mining process, and an entire floor devoted to gems organized according to their chemical families.
