Theatro Municipal Review
Built in 1909, the stunning Municipal Theater at Cinelândia is the city's main performing arts venue, hosting dance, opera (often with international stars as guest artists), symphony concerts, and theater events for most of the year, although the season officially runs from March to December, so don't be surprised to find it closed in January and February and check the press for current events. The theater also has its own ballet company.
