To & From
By car, take BR 040 and then BR 116 to Teresópolis, and then RJ 130 to Nova Friburgo. The trip takes around 2½ hours. From Rio, Niterói-bound buses frequently continue on to Nova Friburgo. Auto Viação 1001 buses leave every half hour from the Rodoviária in Rio. Trips take around three hours and cost R$19.50.
