The eclectic architectural style of this all-inclusive resort is both attractive and confusing; pirate and cave-painting motifs are cultivated through the use of materials such as old driftwood, plaster, marble, and tijolo aparente—locally produced beige bricks. The beach in front is uncrowded, as it's a mile or so from the busy part of Ponta Negra. You can also bathe in one of the two pools, but the nearby karaoke machine ruins any semblance of peace. Rooms are well equipped and adequately sized.
