El Fogon de Cucao Review

Founded in 1997 by Miguel Angel, a longtime reporter for some of Chile's most important newspapers, the Fogon de Cucao is a cozy architectural gem of a hotel. Made from nearby native trees by the owner himself, the hotel has a homey atmosphere with rustic decor and big beds. Some rooms have their own terraces, where guests can sit and gaze out at a tremendous view of the park and Cucao Lake. Facilities are spotless. The restaurant occasionally hosts live music, and there's also a campground and a general store. The hotel will happily arrange horseback excursions through the park's hills, forests, and beaches.

    El Fogon de Cucao Review

    This place was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Miguel and his family are awesome! The cabin we got was super clean and peaceful. If you play music make sure you tell Miguel. He has a nice set up in their beautiful ranch style restaurant and will jam with you all night long. I really hope to go back here one day!

    El Fogon de Cucao Review

    This is the worst hostel that I never been, is expensive in relation to the places for sleep inside the national park of Cucao and I and my group received a offensive treat the nights that we spent in Fogon de Cucao. All of us have really bad memories about our days in this hotel. I'll never came back to this hostel, I have a really bad experience there. I don't recommend it. Near to this Hotel, inside the national Park of Cucao, you can spent a night or more in the house's of the National Park. The place is beautiful, the house are perfect to relax and enjoy the wonderful nature and views and you can do a excursions every day if you want. Is cheaper than Fogon and really better. I recommend call to national park to lease this houses. Is absolutely the best and beautiful way to see Cucao.
