Espejo de Luna Review
On the coast, about a 40-minute drive south of Castro, this highly recommended hotel opened in 2008. It has astounding vistas looking out at the Gulf of Corcovado with volcanoes and mountains crowning the view far off in the distance. As well, dolphins and whales are often seen from the beach. There are nearby hiking trails through lush temperate forests. The three private cabins—finely handcrafted from native woods—house two, four, or five persons, and the main lodge has five additional rooms. The small Lef restaurant, shaped like a boat, open daily for lunch and dinner, has a tasty gourmet approach to typical Chilote dishes. This is a high-end place to relax and soak in beauty.
