No, you're not seeing spots. Those huge polka dots in the bathroom are part of the whimsical design at Ultramar, the city's first real boutique hotel. The candy-color stripes and bold geometric patterns are like nothing this country has ever seen. They come as a complete surprise, as the hotel is housed in a staid-looking brick building dating from 1907.
