The Magic Bean Review

High-quality food and a relaxed vibe draw travelers, expatriates, and locals to "the Bean" to socialize over crisp salads and do business over cappuccinos. Blackberry pancakes and bagels are served for breakfast, while the lunch and dinner menu emphasizes soups, sandwiches, pastas, and shish kebab. The atmosphere is casual and the service friendly; if you're solo, you'll feel very comfortable here. Check out the back wall with a selection of giant Far Side cartoons. The Magic Bean also has live music some nights.

    Tasty and trustworthy food. I loved my vegetarian stuffed peppers with avocado and tomato salad. The natrual juices and coffees were superb.
    I sat with my laptop and used the free wifi while surrounded by dozens and dozens of foreign travelers

    Worst food we had in Ecuador

    On Fodor's recommendation we went here for dinner, and were sorely disappointed (only Fodor's rec that hasn't been good!) Of our two entrees, the steak was literally swamped in butter (as were its veggies), and the Hawaaian burger... well suffice to say, we would have been way better off at Burger King. Very disappointing.
