From the moment you step into the elegant lobby with its polished marble floors and high columns, it is clear that this is one of the city's best hotels. The ocean-view rooms are gorgeous, and if you think the view from your room is breathtaking, just head up to the rooftop pool overlooking the entire coastline. City-view rooms, on the other hand, overlook an uninspiring residential neighborhood, so pay the extra money for an ocean view. Conservatively furnished guest rooms have sitting areas that make them seem like suites, sumptuous beds covered in luxe linens, and large marble bathrooms with separate tub and shower. The Mesa 18 restaurant serves excellent nouveau Peruvian cuisine, whereas the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde bar resembles an English pub.
