Casa de Fierro

Casa de Fierro Review

The most interesting structure on the Plaza de Armas is this "Iron House," designed by Gustave Eiffel (of Eiffel Tower fame) and forged in Belgium. A wealthy rubber baron bought the house at the Parisian International Exposition of 1889 and had it shipped to Iquitos, where it was reassembled. The building now houses a pharmacy and a restaurant on the second floor.
