El Dorado Plaza Hotel Review

This contemporary hotel is in the heart of Iquitos, on the Plaza de Armas, and rooms in front put your fingers on the city's mototaxi pulse. The airy lobby has a six-story ceiling and a glass elevator. Behind it is a pool with an elevated Jacuzzi, and a small spa with a few exercise machines. Carpeted guest rooms have giant windows, flat-screen TVs, and other modern conveniences. Those in front overlook the plaza, but suffer from a bit of its noise, whereas quiter rooms in back glimpse the river over rusty metal roofs. There is a small restaurant off the lobby where buffet breakfasts are served and a large pool bar that also serves food. The hotel offers tours to local attractions.
