Advice on current Marrakech museum closures ?

Web information for both Dar el Said and Tiskiwan museums in Marrakech says they are temporarily closed though they are still advertising ticket prices. I can't find any further information about this. Can anybody tell me whether this is accurate please? And does anybody know when they might reopen? We'll be there in December and were hoping to visit both museums. Thanks!

Though I can’t answer your question, I can tell you what works for me in a general way, after many years of extensive travels, including quite a lot of time spent in Morocco. Rather than making definite plans or fretting over what may be an interesting place that turns out to be closed, I make a list rather than an itinerary. It includes the information I have about all the places - address, website, open hours, etc. Then I play it as it comes, look at the list every day & organize that day accordingly.

On occasion I arrive at a destination & find that it’s closed or otherwise unavailable to me. But I’ve got my list so on to something else. There are always more possibilities than time so little room for serious disappointment. And what’s not on the list is the thing I spend more time doing than anything, walking. Marrakech never disappoints for exploring on foot. I know you’ll have a great time, with or without those museums.

Thanks MmePerdu for your thoughtful response. Indeed, that's exactly what I usually do unless I have very limited time in a place or I'm visiting just to see one particular thing. I'm curious about these two museums because they would be real highlights for me but I do take your point about going with the flow!

Excellent, then you’re all set. I’m not worried about you!
