Great way for American Express / Delta Skymile Members To Pick Up Free Miles!

Simply transfer Membership Rewards® points to your Delta SkyMiles account between April 1 and May 15, 2005 and you can receive one mile for every point you transfer, plus up to a 20% bonus on the total number of points transferred during the promotional period.
1. Register for this limited-time offer at

I've already registered and am looking forward to taking advantage of this. Just waiting for some more miles to accrue in my MR account.
By the way, anyone who hasn't taken advantage of this type of transfer bonus before should note that it does take up to 8 weeks for the 15-20% bonus portion to post to your Skymiles account, so if you need the extra miles right away, it won't help you. I look at it as, I'm going to transfer the miles anyway so I might as well do it during a bonus promo

Update: New Amex Membership Rewards to Delta transfer bonus from June 1 to July 15. This time the bonus is 30% regardless of the amount transferred!

Wow...that is GREAT news!!!
I am such a flake that after advising everyone of this great offer, I confess that I forgot to take advantage of this offer!
On a sad note, my mother, due to a recent medical condition that will prevent her from taking anti-malaria medication will not be joining my wife and I, after all, on our trip.
I may offer this trip to my 20 year old brother-in-law, if I am allowed to change the name on the tickets for a small change fee, or I may try to reabsorb the 80,000 miles that were to be used for my mother's ticket, at which point I would apply to this 30% bonus offer. That would definitely help get me to Botswana next April in Business Class. I only have about 50,000 miles currently, but with 80,000 more miles that is 130,000 miles x 30% bonus = 169,000 miles. At least that will again get me from Europe to South Africa.
