Hotel or B &B recommendation enroute JNB to Kruger
We will arrive 5PM JNB from US and would like to get a head start towards Kruger that day. Do you have any hotel or B&B recommendations maybe 2 hours or so enroute? Maybe a budget of 700-1000 zar. Thanks! Also, we just plan to head directly for Kruger, but are there any "must sees" along the way? We are first timers to this area...

we arrived about 2 and made it to dullsdroom just about dark...
look at B&B associated with the duck trout restaurant---very nice..

I also would not start out for Kruger if coming in at 5pm. Especially from USA. You ever had such long flights as you will have to JNB? We're from California and the only thing we want to do after landing JNB is roll into a bed. In fact our last Sep 2009 trip we got into JNB in the AM, 8:50 am, and I was really looking forward to that hotel bed. The next morning 9am we went to JNB, got car, Avis, and headed to Kruger. Camp Letaba. Got there about 5pm, drove to Phalaborwa gate to get in. IMHO, no must sees along the way. The Great Escarpment is ok if you're around the area. But if you've seen the US West you've seen more spectacular.

Thanks to you both... I had a trip to Capetown previously and managed to sleep for 8 hours straight prior to arrival and actually felt pretty good... But better not count on that!
