Hari,
so that's the confusing part, have only some days, would 2 nights be enough in the mara without the migration ???? basically a fly in safari, and then rest in serengeti around 4-5 days ???
which camps/lodges would u recommend,

Moni,
I don't have enough knowledge on the serengeti to recommend lodges ..... but, my logic would be to find the right Serengeti itinerary (during the right season) and stay put there ...
Personally, i am thinking of going to Serengeti (either end Feb or march 2009) - that will be around Ndutu area and stay put for just about a week or so!

Suggestion "crazy" - It's a good idea to keep all questions or information required about this trip under one thread. Easy for those responding to answer and follow your progress and you get everything in one place.
If you're going next week, then concentrate on the Serengeti, but know that when the herds get back here they're in the woodlands and very much scattered. Then, it's a matter of whether you can find a place to lay your head - lodge, seasonal camp or camping. There aren't many choices in the northern Serengeti.
The longer you wait to make the "perfect" decision, the faster space will disappear... and you can still be wrong (or right).

Sandi,
I have some space to lay my head in n serengeti for 3 nights, which other lodge/camp u would suggest for the other areas of serengeti, where the game drives and luxury is of very good quality,
