I couldn't find her itinerary w/dates, but I thought they were travelling last 2 weeks of November and the first week or so of December. Havn't read of any international incidents, so I think they must be/have been having a wonderful time.

We're baaaack!!! We had a fantastic time - some highlights were our game walk and night drives on El Karama Ranch in Laikipia, driving all the way through Aberdares NP one day, early morning bird watching at Lake Baringo, horse riding and camping on Ndarakwai Ranch, our wonderful hosts particularly Petra at Olea Africana, Ross at Samatian Island, and Elisabeth and Laszlo at Makoa Farm, listening to guitar music and singing on a rooftop in Tanzania while watching the stars and bats fly overhead.

We experienced no problems surrounding the referendum vote. We were almost disappointed we didn't see more bananas and oranges We drove by a few polling places the day of the vote and everything was calm.

I got sick the last two nights in the Mara and missed the last day's game drive. Of course, that would be the day that Mark saw a leopard dragging a freshly killed impala and eating it Luckily I recovered quickly and by the time we were scheduled to go on our horseback safari, I was feeling much better.

Alas, we didn't see any wild dogs so that's a good excuse to return

As soon as I'm caught up with things at home, I'll be posting a full trip report and lots of photos.

Oh no, I have a feeling I'll be spending way too much time on Fodor's until you post your report and pictures...

Sorry to hear you didn't feel well for a bit. Glad at least your husband got to see the leopard.

But, wow, "listening to guitar music and singing on a rooftop in Tanzania while watching the stars and bats fly overhead." Sounds like a phenomenal trip.
