Yes, I had a fantastic adventure with Best of Africa Tours and Safaris for 7Days safari(Lake Mantyara, Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti, Tarangire). You will like it too much. After leaving the safari i still lack the words to narrate that experience. It was fantastic. You can talk to Paul of Best of Africa Tours so he can tell yuo more on this ([email protected]) Infact he helped me gear up for that wonderfull safari. By the way you can have a look at their website www.bestofafricatours.com for their Tanzania itineraries.

Haven't been there, but I know that april is "short rain season" (we're going in Juli whet it's a dry season again).
So... you should get some showers now and then, altough in Africa you never now. If it HAS rained, then Tarangire will be all green, and animals will be more dispersed all ove the park, or even beyond park boundaries. If it has not rained a lot, there'll probably be more wildlife along Tarangire river.
It's not easy to predict what you will see, and where. But the park is well worth it.

I was in Tarangire on 3/19. In spite of what I heard about the supposed paucity of animals in Feb/Mar, we saw dozens of elephants -- including elephants on a walking safari just outside the park. I think it's a great place for a day, especially with the baobobs and the terrain.
